"The re-branded tiger nuts seller"

I first posted this on my Facebook page on 15th August 2014,it generated many likes,comments and shares. and till date it keeps touching lives.

In Abuja...

So I was minding my business after the day's work,about boarding a cab home this guy passed through. Oh my...

Yes...he's wearing a suit and he sells what we may refer to as "common tiger nuts"(aki hausa in ibo) properly washed with salt,all clean. That got me pretty interested,so I became a journalist sharply lol, Made a u-turn and went after him to buy some although I don't want it but to enable me get this information. And guess what,His price was higher than the usual aboki's,virtually double and still people are buying. So I bought oh without haggling the price. With 100 naira per cup,he sells to at least 100 people(10,000naira daily) he said. Imagine his monthly net profit,Wow press your calculator please.
Next,I saw myself stylishly taking these pictures with my camera on silent mode. Oh I should have taken a selfie with him *smiles*.

As I was about leaving,in a low tone and with lovely voice I said "oga I like your suit oh,in fact everything set", with good english and a fine smile he replied "its packaging and I have to be different. This 'small thing' has over the years earned me the money no man could pay or give me,i used it to set up two stocked provision stores in utako market abuja and also train my children,very soon I'll quit to focus and expand my business". Now,that's investment! Without wasting time he left for another customer... So my attempt to pry further was aborted.

Sincerely This inspired me a lot so I thought I should share.

We mustn't all deck up, wear suit to hawk tiger nuts;
Lesson is-  Let's stop looking down on small things, start working it out. Whatever and wherever your career/business/company is... Stand out,even if others are doing similar thing,do yours uniquely.  Do it happily not grudgingly(no be your own worse pass). Apply excellence and Give in your best to it,no jokes. Don't care if people despise,mock or laugh at you. They will surely look up to you and also celebrate you someday.

Don't let that your vision die,patiently pass through the necessary steps to get there- no short cut. Those steps are the stories you would tell to uplift souls tomorrow. It may not be all rosy but "always encourage yourself in the Lord" (1st Sam 30 vs 6); Endure with no compromise,be still and focus! Improve and develop yourself daily,imbibe more knowledge,tacts to add more value and be a problem solver. Above all, Fervently Pray with contentment devoid of covetousness and be fully committed to it.
  Don't despise that your humble beginning. Its not yet over- You can still become that President,CEO,Manager,Professor,business mogul etc you want to be. Gladly do what thy hand findeth and then Save/Invest your return,don't be extravagant!!! Wisdom is the principal thing.

Our hope-
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. (Job 8 vs 7) kjv
Now I can gladly go home...
